Flowering Outdoors

For this gorgeous volume full of inspirational ideas, tastemakers share their joy of flowers outdoors in such spaces as terraces, dining pavilions, and loggias in a variety of locations-from city balconies and country patios to mountain and seaside settings. Such designers and floral and design experts as Meg Braff, Kate Rheinstein Brodsky, Zeze, Bettie Bearden Pardee, India Hicks, and others show how to incorporate flowers in outdoor”rooms”? in terra-cotta containers, metal urns, and other types of pots, and present numerous ways to entertain alfresco with flair. This beautifully photographed book concludes with a primer on garden elements, including architecture, statuary, furniture, and live sculpture, as well as advice on assembling simple arrangements for parties. Inspirational and instructive, it is a must-have for flower enthusiasts, home decorators, gardeners, and haute hosting.
